Questions

What counts as an AI consultation?
Each message you send to the ARES advisory team counts as one consultation. Follow-up messages in the same conversation also count. The free tier lets you browse the full framework and score your controls without any AI consultations.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No lock-in, no exit fees. Cancel from the app or your Stripe billing portal. Your data stays available for export after cancellation.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your assessment data, maturity scores, and profile are always yours. On the Free plan you keep read access to everything you created. AI consultations and email deliverables require a paid plan.
Do you offer annual billing?
Not yet. We want to earn your subscription every month. Annual billing with a discount is on the roadmap.
Is the AI output legal advice?
No. The ARES team provides strategic governance guidance based on published frameworks, regulations, and standards. It is not a substitute for qualified legal, audit, or compliance advice. Always validate critical decisions with your legal team.
How is my data handled?
Your data is stored in Cloudflare's European data centres (Amsterdam). AI conversations are processed via Anthropic's Claude API. We do not use your data to train models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What does this add to my current GRC platform?
GRC platforms like ServiceNow, IBM OpenPages, Microsoft Purview, or Credo AI are systems of record. They store policies, controls, incidents, and workflows. The AI Control Index is a system of reasoning. It helps you think through governance decisions, prepare for conversations, challenge assumptions, and produce the artifacts that feed your GRC platform. Think of it as the advisory layer that makes your system of record more useful: better risk assessments going in, stronger evidence attached, more defensible decisions documented. It does not replace your GRC platform. It makes the human work that feeds it sharper.
